![]() I like that this series has a different take on the alien men - even though they are physically strong and powerful, their culture is completely matriarchal. This book gets 3 stars from me, mostly because I had a hard time liking the main characters. I am glad that this series is continuing with a different author, as I am curious about the Draconian world. This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, and a good addition to the series. Can they put their mistrust aside and perhaps find they are not so different from each other after all? He should be furious at her, but she fascinated him and her loyalty and passion made him actually respect her. He was not pleased that his good deed of rescuing the small females brought him such additional trouble. So when he finally escaped, he got his own ship and is proud to claim his hard-earned freedom. Warvoc had a rough life himself enslaved by a vicious Draconian queen. When a dragon warrior rescues Luna and her best friend from being sold by slavers, she is not satisfied at their rescue but insists he go back and rescue everyone else! Warvoc knows that won’t be possible, but to his surprise, she stirs up trouble among his crew to convince them to mutiny and rescue the others! She realizes that may not have been a wise decision, so she makes promises to him if he will let her stay. Warvoc had a rough life himself e Luna and Warvoc. ![]()
